Product Description Timex T79171 Youth digital/analog watch is reliable, durable, and readable in the dark, thanks to the integrated Indiglo night-light, but it's also flat-out fun to wear. The digital display shows a typical analog readout, with full Arabic numeral display and digital hands (with second hand). It also has a special push-button "shake me up" animation feature, which mixes up the numbers right before your eyes. This watch features a translucent blue resin case with silver top ring, blue polyurethane strap, chrono alarm timer, and water resistance to 30 meters (100 feet).
The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer.

VERY FUNNY LOOKING, THE ANIMATION IS FUN FOR KIDS AND ALSO GIVE THEM THE CHANCE TO START USING A WATCH
Worthless March 8, 2008 K. Hallahan (Antigua, West Indies) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I can't believe Timex makes a Kids watch that is so incredibly difficult to read the time! The watch hands are too small; not clear and definitive for children. It has some cute animation features, but as a time-telling piece this watch is worthless.
Impossible to read and broken in two weeks May 29, 2010 Robert O'shaughnessy (Columbus, OH USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This sounded like a neat watch for my 9yr-old son, but it turned out to be pretty awful.
The interface is nice and readable for a digilog watch, but the feature which scrambles the face after shaking is far too sensitive for a kid to use. Instead of being able to quickly check the time, my son has to freeze and wait for the face to unscramble. As you might expect, this is a challenge for a 9yr-old boy.
Less than two weeks after receiving the watch, the Set/Indiglo button is now stuck into the case, rendering all of the buttons non-functional. Now I get to deal with Timex warranty service.
This was really a complete waste of time and money.
