Amazon.com Product Description The shock-resistant Timex T71962 IronKids digital watch is the junior version of Timex's vaunted IronMan performance sport watch, and it features a tough, durable case and easy-to-use timekeeping functions for your active youngster. It has an easily readable digital display with large, recognizable icons for the chrono, alarm, and timer functions, and a durable nylon Fast Wrap strap (with Velcro fastener). It also offers water resistance to 50 meters (165 feet), 12/24-hour time, day and date feature, translucent silver resin case, large, black function buttons, and Timex's unique Kids Loss Protection Plan. It's recommended for children ages 6 and older. The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function. Timex understands that kids often lose things, even their most prized possessions, which is why this watch is covered by the Timex Kids Loss Protection Plan. If the watch is lost, Timex will replace it with the same style (or similar if your style is not available) at the price of $10 for up to one year from the original date of purchase, with no questions asked. Details are included in the printed instructions that come with the watch.
Product Description This Timex Watch (but not any battery, crystal, band, or strap) is warranted to the owner for a period of ONE YEAR from the date of purchase against defects in manufacture by Timex Corporation. Timex will not repair defects relating to servicing not performed by Timex Corporation. This limited warranty applies to US Customers.

great watch for kids August 17, 2009 Mom's opinion (Michigan) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
My son received this watch for his 8th birthday last September. He has worn it every single day since receiving it and it still works great. He only takes it off for showers and swimming and then he puts it right back on. The only problem is that he is growing so much, the wristband of the watch is now getting a bit tight on his wrist.
He uses the alarm function to wake himself up for school and he constantly uses the timer to time his running and to time how many minutes he has read for school. Will be getting him a new watch for his 9th birthday as this one is now finally looking a bit worn---but it was well worth the $18 for all the use he's gotten out of it.
Timex Kids' Sports Watch April 19, 2009 Victor Calalang 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The product is fantastic and very easy to use. The instructions are simple, and actuation of the buttons is nice for smaller hands. The Indiglo feature, waterproof construction, and alarm clock availability all make for a great kids' watch.
Great for older "kids" too March 27, 2010 Melodious I got this watch because I wanted a smaller lighter watch that still had a timer, alarm, and was waterproof. It does not have all the frills of a woman's watch, but it worked very well for me at a much lower price. The figure that swims, runs, and bikes is fun!
my nephew's present December 19, 2009 R. Martinez (Ocean Springs, MS, USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This watch was given to my nephew as his Christmas present. I asked my sister once they had received the package and told me my nephew liked his new watch. She said it was a little bit confusing for him with all the buttons but with the help of a friend, they managed to know what button was for what and how to set the time and all that. And I understand because sometimes, I, myself, dont know how to set my own watch HEHE :o) But other than that, he really liked his new watch, he said, it matches his school uniform, plus, is his favorite color, I'm glad I picked the blue one.
My son's new watch May 24, 2007 Angel Max 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My 6 year old loves the watch. He wears it all the time. The features, which include a chronometer and a timer are great. The only problem is the they are hard to set. The buttons are difficult to push (although, my son manages to push litght button all the time). Nevertheless, the watch works as a great reinforcer for learning to tell time and the timer has helped greatly in situations where he has to wait. It was worth the money.
