Amazon.com Product Description Fulfill your need for speed with this Timex Expedition Premium Collection chronograph watch, which features a bezel with an engraved tachymeter to help you measure time over distance. Its rugged construction makes for a very practical watch for any adventure, and the chronograph stopwatch can measure events down to 1/20 of a second. The large, round watch case measures 40mm wide (1.57 inches), and it's complemented by a sporty, water-resistant leather strap. Other features include luminous hands, an easy-set alarm (rotate inner bezel to set alarm time), and water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet)--offering protection from accidental splashes as well suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and light recreational diving. The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function.

Beautiful watch! May 9, 2007 The Professor 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
This watch is beautiful! The picture does not do it justice. It is easy to set up...by following the directions contained in the booklet, which is an easy read. This watch is accurate, user friendly, and appealing to the eye. I need to add that the Indiglo lights up the black face very well, making it easy to tell the time. In fact, you can see all of the dials, which is incredible. This was the one concern that I had and it kept me from buying this watch originally. I was pleasantly surprised to see how well the face was lit. This watch is a steal at this price!
Thank you Grady for your review...it helped sell me on this watch.
Timex T42351 - Great watch at a great price September 9, 2009 Taymond 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I've had this watch a few weeks now, and I'm really happy with it. Its weight and look are great. I'm not really a big watch person, but this one definitely struck my eye. It's not your typical watch, and it took some figuring out, since the wrong instructions were sent to me, and I couldn't find the correct ones on the internet. Therefore, I'll post some basic instructions for those who might be in the same boat.
The first thing to realize is that the traditional long second hand isn't the primary time-of-day second hand. It functions only as the Chronograph second hand. The time-of-day second hand is the sub-dial at 6 o'clock. The sub-dial at 10 o'clock is the chronograph minute hand and the sub-dial at 2 o'clock is 1/10 second chronograph hand.
The Crown(button at 3 o'clock) has 3 positions(4 if you include the indiglo); for the sake of explanation: normal, out-one, and out-two. What prevented me from figuring this watch out sooner was the fact that I thought I would break the crown off by pulling it to out-two, so much so that I was certain my watch didn't have 3 positions. It does in fact have 3 positions, though. That's one small complaint I have-it's kinda hard to pull it to the out-two position; it may just be my watch though.
To start, you need to zero the chronograph dials. To reset the chronograph sub-dials to 0, first pull out Crown to out-one, repeatedly press the button at 8'O Clock to zero the Minutes Sub-dial. Pull the Crown again to out-two, press the button at 8'O Clock to set the 1/10-Second sub-dial. Press the crown all in from the normal position for indiglo.
Crown at normal
----------------
2 o'clock Button: Start/Stop for the Chronograph.
8 o'clock Button: Chronograph RESET.
Crown at out-one
----------------
2 o'clock Button: Nothing
8 o'clock Button: Advances the chronograph minute hand one minute at a time (for zeroing)
Spin Crown: changes time-of-day hour hand only (awesome for time-zone and daylight savings)
Crown at out-two
----------------
2 o'clock Button: Advances chronograph second hand (for zeroing)
8 o'clock Button: Advances chronograph 1/10 second hand (for zeroing)
Spin Crown: changes time-of-day minutes hand as well.
Setting alarm
-------------
Spin the dial/button at 4 o'clock. The red arrow corresponds to the minute and the gray corresponds to the hour you want your alarm to go off. Pull the dial out once you have the right time to set it. It should beep when you pull it out.
Nothing Better April 3, 2008 C. Oddleifson 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Everything about this watch is awesome. I have never had a better watch... ever. Only complaint is that the loose perpendicular strip of leather that holds the band in place does not do its job very well. It slides up off the band and the band ends up hanging down. I haven't found a way to fix it yet, but I'm working on it. However, that is a small complaint compared to the awesomeness of this relatively inexpensive timepiece... Just look at it!!
Great Watch! January 8, 2009 York 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I received my Timex yesterday, and this is a great watch at a good price. It looks fantastic, very masculine, not too big, not too little. It has a solid feel but is not overly heavy on my wrist. The strap is very nice quality water resistant leather. The watch/chrono/alarm functions work fine, it just takes a little while to get used to the large second hand being stationary unless the chrono function is turned on. The alarm function is nice, and easy to set and use. There are alarm markers for both the hour and the minute, and you can set the alarm two different ways. The chrono will show up to 30 minutes total elapsed time and will reset after 4 hours. So, if you want to time something over 30 minutes, you can set the minutes or minutes and hour alarm markers at the start time in a similar manner to using a rotating bezel on a dive watch. The bezel on this watch is fixed and has the scale for mph that can be used with the chrono function to determine speed over a one mile distance. I would by this watch again, and will wear it a lot. I received the usual good service from Amazon and might just buy another version (color) of this watch.
great price for an awesome watch May 30, 2009 TmT 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
surprise to see this on Amazon again. I bought this 2 years ago and it disappeared from Timex website afterward. Thought they stopped making this model. My criteria for a watch after my Seiko, Longines, Tag are: see in the dark, have date, waterproof at least 300ft, and I found this. Chrono and alarm are bonus. Not too big nor too small. After 2 years, 2 dives at 70ft and the band still looks new. In movie theatre, Indiglo is awesome. I used the alarm function on my vacation trips to wakeup only me w/o waking up my wife. Another great feature is advance hour. It's great for quick adjust date (30/31), travel (time zones), and daylight saving. It doesn't move the minute arm. With this price I can buy new one every 3 years. Highly recommend if you like the look, very masculine. Wish they make it with matte black, or red dial, then I'll buy them all.
